From the Adelaide Hills, the cooler season has delivered more than just the usual varietal impressions of apple and pear flavours to this increasingly popular style. Here too, you see a subtle smoky spice to start, then familiar Pinot Grigio territory returns as you taste – think nashi pear, green apple and touches of pear & honey dew melon. Then that spice appears again with a peppery feel to add some presence to this light-to-medium-bodied grigio. Best paired with a light seafood dish, spicy food or cheese.
