The Misura 800 can be described as perfect. Misura, meaning 'the measure,' reflects the precise methods used in the process from vine to bottle to produce this great wine. This wine is only produced if the fruit is exceptional as the grapes are hand-picked from only A-grade vineyards with low yielding Shiraz vines in South Australia. The wine maturates in new American and French Oak barrels for a period of 18 months. A second term of oak maturation, of up to 6 months in two year old oak, is used to finely balance the rich fruits and great depth of this wine. To ensure further quality control whilst in the bottle, it is carefully cellared under optimum wine conditions before being hand wrapped and laid down to mature in its hand crafted wooden box. The Misura 800 will develop further complexity and softness for up to 20 years.
