From the Adelaide Hills, the Barbera joins the Evanescence Range as a dream come true for our winemaker, Danniel Amadio. A fruitful season brought the opportunity for Danniel to make the people’s wine of Italy. After hearing stories of the Barbera wine shared and enjoyed on the balconies of villas and in terraces throughout Italy, he dreamt of bringing these moments to Australia. Best paired with wood fire pizza.

Winemaking is an art and while many of our pieces visit you vintage after vintage, the Evanescence Range is fleeting. These wines are crafted by moments we didn’t see coming: fresh inspiration and low yielding crops. This wine has aromas of blackcurrant, plum and cherry cola with hints of blueberries, underlying oak spice and black pepper.  Good linear acidity backbone with subtle velvety tannins are met with generous fruit weight and persistence and fresh fruit on the finish. See more from our Evanescence Range here.
