European Gold Medals for Amadio WinesAt the recent prestigious awc Vienna 2010 International Wine Challenge, third generation wine producers Amadio Wines were awarded 9 medals for 9 entries, 3 gold and 6 silver - an incredible 100% strike rate.

 

awc Vienna 2010 is the largest officially recognized wine competition in the world. 10,951 wines from 1733 producers out of 36 nations over 5 continents were tasted and evaluated anonymously. Amadio Wines received gold medals for their 2007 Single Vineyard Block 2A Reserve Shiraz, NV Red Shed Shiraz and the NV Amadio Quartet Blanc. Silver medals were awarded to the remaining 6 wines entered in the show.

 

In addition to receiving an international gold medal, the 2007 Block 2A Shiraz was rated in the top 2 Shiraz out of 1900 entries from around the world.

 

These internationally recognized awards cap off an amazing winning streak for the winery. The Amadio Grand Reserve Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay, was crowned "Top Sparkling" of show at the recent 2010 Intercontinental / Advertiser South Australian Wine of the Year Awards.
